Howard Gutstein, MD, FAAP

Professor, Department of Anesthesiology and Biochemistry, The University of Texas M.D. Anderson Cancer Center

Dr. Gutstein is currently Professor in the Departments of Anesthesiology and Biochemistry at the UT-MD Anderson Cancer Center. He graduated from the Johns Hopkins Medical School and completed surgical and anesthesia training, as well as a pediatric anesthesia fellowship, at UC-San Francisco. He has received the Young Investigator Award from the Foundation for Anesthesiology Education and Research, and has been featured in symposia sponsored by the National Institute on Drug Abuse entitled “NIDA – The Next Generation” and “Career Pathways in Behavioral Neuroscience”. His research has been funded for the last 20 years by the NIH, and more recently by the Cancer Prevention and Research Institute of Texas.
